BMW Group, Daimler AG, Ford Motor Company и Volkswagen Group вмeстe с вxoдящими в сoстaв кoнцeрнa Audi AG и Porsche AG дoгoвoрились o сoздaнии сoвмeстнoгo прeдприятия, кoтoрoe рaзвeрнeт в Eврoпe сеть «ультрабыстрых и высокомощных» зарядных станций для электромобилей. Такие комплексы будут размещаться на основных магистралях континента.

Согласно подписанного в Штутгарте меморандума о сотрудничестве, электрические «заправки» будут построены по стандарту CCS (Combined Charging System), который применяется на большинстве нынешних и будущих электромобилей, а также подключаемых гибридов. Учитывая, что этот набор требований к оборудованию постоянно развивается, со временем мощность зарядных установок в новой сети станций достигнет 350 кВт.  

Строительство сети зарядных станций планируется начать уже в 2017 году. На первом этапе, сроки реализации которого пока не указаны, планируется создать около 400 объектов. Вместе с этим участники нового альянса ожидают, что к 2020 году в Европе будут насчитываться тысячи подобных станций. Цель масштабного проекта заключается в обеспечении путешественников на электромобилях возможностью с комфортом передвигаться на большие расстояния. Ожидается, что процесс зарядки на новых «ультрабыстрых» станциях будет длиться лишь немного дольше, чем заправка на обычных АЗС.

Дитер Цетше, председатель правления Daimler AG, заявил, что для перехода мирового автопрома к электрической мобильности необходимо создать два условия: выпустить приемлемые для рядового покупателя транспортные средства, а также предложить пользователям зарядную инфраструктуру. «К 2025 году портфолио нашего электромобильного бренда EQ будет представлено десятью моделями. Сегодня, вместе с партнерами, мы объявляем о создании самой мощной зарядной сети в Европе», — добавил Цетше.

«Сеть сверхмощных зарядных станций заставит задуматься о приобретении электромобиля даже самых скептически настроенных автомобилистов. За последние годы концерн BMW Group уже запустил ряд проектов по созданию инфраструктуры для общественных зарядных станций. Новое совместное предприятие станет очередной вехой, ярко демонстрирующей, что соперники способны объединять усилия ради общего блага — создания лучших условий для развития электромобильности», — заявил председатель совета директоров BMW AG Харальд Крюгер.

Аналогичные заявления сделали глава Ford Марк Филдс, председатель совета директоров Audi AG Руперт Штадлер и рукодитель Porsche AG Оливер Блюме. Все они сошлись во мнении, что размещенные с умом зарядные станции для быстрого восстановления запаса энергии в батареях электрокаров сделают такие транспортные средства по-настоящему интересными для массового покупателя.

Совместное предприятие пока не зарегистрировано как юридическое лицо и не имеет названия. Вместе с этим участники проекта заявили о готовности сотрудничать и другими компаниями, а также организациями.

Stuttgart, November 29, 2016 — BMW Group, Daimler AG, Ford Motor Company and Volkswagen Group with Audi and Porsche have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to create the highest-powered charging network in Europe. The goal is the quick build-up of a sizable number of stations in order to enable long-range travel for battery electric vehicle drivers. This will be an important step towards facilitating mass-market BEV adoption.

The projected ultra-fast high-powered charging network with power levels up to 350 kW will be significantly faster than the most powerful charging system deployed today. The build-up is planned to start in 2017. An initial target of about 400 sites in Europe is planned. By 2020 the customers should have access to thousands of high-powered charging points. The goal is to enable long-distance travel through open-network charging stations along highways and major thoroughfares, which has not been feasible for most BEV drivers to date. The charging experience is expected to evolve to be as convenient as refueling at conventional gas stations.

The network will be based on Combined Charging System (CCS) standard technology. The planned charging infrastructure expands the existing technical standard for AC- and DC charging of electric vehicles to the next level of capacity for DC fast charging with up to 350 kW. BEVs that are engineered to accept this full power of the charge stations can recharge brand-independently in a fraction of the time of today’s BEVs. The network is intended to serve all CCS equipped vehicles to facilitate the BEV adoption in Europe.

 The automobile manufacturers intend to make substantial investments to create the network, underscoring each company’s belief in the future of electric mobility. While the founding partners — BMW Group, Daimler AG, Ford Motor Company and Volkswagen Group — will be equal partners in the Joint Venture, other automobile manufacturers will be encouraged to participate in the network to help establish convenient charging solutions for BEV customers. The Joint Venture is also open for cooperations with regional partners. 

The Joint Venture formation is subject to execution of definitive agreements and merger control approval in various jurisdictions.
